As the country’s longest running women’s weekly magazine, The Lady is steeped in tradition.
But it continues to innovate and will this week launch its first ever annual issue the 172-page perfect bound edition will look back on the events that shaped 2011 and make predictions for trends in 2012.
The triple issue will be on sale for three weeks until 6 January and the cover price rises from the usual £2 to £5 to reflect extra pagination. An anticipated sales uplift is backed by the print run being increased by 13% and The Lady’s publisher say almost a third of sales will go through independents.
The annual will also feature a rundown of the women of the year, interviews with human rights campaigner Aung San Suu Kyi, puzzles and fiction.
