Magazines All Wrapped Up!

It’s that time of year again.  Christmas is right around the corner and already the hordes of Christmas shoppers are clogging up social media with questions over what might make the perfect Christmas presents for relatives, friends, colleagues, children and just about anyone else who is lucky enough to make it onto a Christmas list.

Lets face it.  Giving and receiving presents is one of the most exciting and heart-warming parts of the Christmas tradition but it can also be one of the most fraught.  Will it fit?  Will she like it?  Does he already have a reindeer shaped book-end?  Does she need another bottle of decorative olive oil?  With so many possibilities available and increasing demand on people’s time over the festive season, is it time to look at a magazine subscription present instead?

Magazine subscriptions have always been one of the most enduringly popular present options.  55% of all subscriptions purchased on Unique Magazines are for gifts.   Being both blessedly straightforward to purchase and the quintessential gift that keeps on giving (subscriptions can run from 3 to 6 and 12 months), a magazine subscription is one of the few gift options that has the potential to show real thought and understanding of a person’s likes and dislikes.

It is possible that you can find a magazine subscription to suit just about anybody depending on their age, interests and gender.  For children, there is the classic Beano magazine and popular characters such as moshi monsters or for the more inquisitive child, perhaps National Geographic Kids, How It Works, or Dr Who monthly.  Parents who are trying to reduce the sheer amount of toys in their house certainly might appreciate a monthly magazine subscription which children of any age can look forward to receiving every month.

For parents, top subscriptions for Dads at Unique include Top Gear magazine, Golf Monthly and Men’s Health magazine.  There are also a range of specialist titles which can cater for all manner of hobbies or interests from cycling to farming and DIY.  And what about the hardworking Mums?  There is a wealth of magazines to choose from such as regular titles like Take a Break to the more glossy lifestyle magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Psychologies.

It is easy to see why November and December are the two busiest months for magazine subscriptions thanks to the range of gift options available.  Why not treat yourself to a less stressful Christmas and purchase the perfect subscription for that hard to please family member?  They will certainly thank you when they hear the familiar drop of a magazine on the doormat every month.
